Sports is my first passion in life. I am writing a 120 page original screenplay on a Bollywood Hollywood sports feature film that will appeal to the audience worldwide. My pitch has been approved and liked by the Connecticut Films Commission. 12 pages of the original screenplay is completed. Connecticut Films Commission recommended that I make a Bollywood Hollywood Sports short film. I don't agree on making a short film. Currently in the process of writing a Bollywood Hollywood feature film on a sport that has not even been thought of. Boxing, Baseball, Wrestling, Field Hockey, Soccer, Ice Hockey, Cricket, Track and Field have been produced in the Bollywood and Hollywood film industry.
Bend It Like Beckham was the first Bollywood Hollywood Sports film I watched. A poster of Bend it Like Beckham is hanging up in my sister's room. Surprise smash, earning more than $76.5 million against a $6 million budget. Although the film itself is British, both in its setting and its theme—dealing with immigrant integration in a country with a religious-like devotion to football (what we know as soccer)—it delighted critics and audience worldwide with its quiet charm and optimism.
Indian girls who play sports now face less cultural opposition from their families, and unabashedly attributes this development to Bend it Like Beckham's influence. It’s harder to pin down to a progress report on the wider conflict between first-generation immigrants and their children.
